Born Too Soon

A fellow writer who is also a friend of mine is going through one of the toughest things a parent could imagine. Her newest addition came much too early. Born at 24 weeks, Simon Gabriel is a little fighter who wants to see his mom and dad as often as possible.

The problem is the same one we are all facing- high gas prices. Not being able to travel is one thing, not being able to visit your preemie often is another. Simon needs his mother and father, his mother and father need to be with him. Imagine the heart rending fear of being away from your child if he or she needed to be hospitalized then add on top of that the brand new life that came only halfway into a pregnancy.

If you can help my friend Mysti and her husband Rob, please donate by using the Paypal button they have shared here. Be aware that they are not asking me to place this here, I asked them if I could help by sharing their links and Paypal information. The Paypal button you will find on the top left of this blog, in th sidebar.

For Simons' full story, please visit Simons' Blog by his mom, Mysti.

From the deepest depths of my heart, I thank you, Julie for posting this. Simon means the world to us and we can't imagine our lives without him, though we experience many days between seeing his tiny face and body. Our goal is to raise $6,000 which will allow us to remain with Simon daily through the duration of his time in Denver. We are $270 closer to that goal today. Everything helps us immensely!
