I lost a day?

I could have sworn I posted here last night, but nothing is in the drafts. I bet that it just didn't get saved. BAH.

I did a lot of Assistant work last night, worked up some graphic samples, wrote another article, which I have to add to my running count at AW, and took care of some GHU stuff. I don't think I mentioned GHU here before.

GHU stands for Goth Help Us. I'm the chapter president of Buffalo. Cool, huh? You can even see a pic of me there, but it's crappy. Had it done the day before I went in for surgery so I look horrid. Anyway, GHU is really cool because anyone can join, goth or not. It's all about helping people.

I had a really cool message from AC last night. One of my articles, on vegan stuff, is being nominated for feature material. Woot! I worked up a pic for it that I really love. Can't wait to link to it if it gets featured! You'll be able to use my widget to see it, though. Everything I write is shown in it.

I got chosen to do some graphics for this one gig, too. Pays 150$. Yay! I can use it.

I keep seeing people asking about how to get into online work. Because of the bullcrap ads that send people to sites where you have to pay to register or access 'jobs', it's hard for anyone to know what to look for.

Well, here is what you look for:

1. No fee to register, browse, or apply to jobs.
2. Real ads from individuals or from companies you can do research on.
3. Obscure postings that are from people in your area.
4. Jobs with UPFRONT rates. Never work until the rates are set.

I'm feeling my way through the work at home world and these are the best tips I can provide so far.

Best places to find real jobs?

Craigslist - Don't limit yourself to your area. Try every town listed for online work.

Online Writing Jobs -I have found a few good gigs here.

I'm sure that there are lots of other places, heck, I know there are. BUT, these two are where I have finally found real paying gigs. Maybe you can, too!

Great tips for newbies to finding work online. AND don't you hate it when your damn posts vanish. Arrr, nothing makes me more upset. Lately I've taken to double saving on word (but only the real good posts).
