Tagged!
Marye over at Kettle and Cup tagged me a while back. Here are 5 Random or Odd Things About Me.
1. I have a system to eating potato chips. Size, Breakage, or Folded.
2. I dye my hair black in the winter, go natural in the summer.
3. I really am evil. Really. Hush. If you people keep saying I am nice, how will I ever sell a horror novel?
4. After having my skin brushed lightly for a minute, it burns. I really hate to be touched except by certain people.
5. I tell everyone I can't stand kids, but I really love them. At one time I thought I couldn't have more children, so I pretended to not stand them. Now I have a herd and if finances permitted, I would adopt some more to add to the flock.
Ok, now I have to tag. So I am going to hit up a few people to see if they pay attention, heh.
1. Joshua Johnson at Junk Creation
2. Stacey Graham at Hippie Sounds
3. Deb Ng at Simply Thrifty (I bet she doesn't see this, but if she does, COOL)
4. Jennifer Nipps at Confessions of a Fat Chick
5. Dawn Allcot at Anything That Pays
I bet a few didn't know I knew where they were. :-)

My Husband Is Awesome
Guys, do you want to know how to become a hero to all women? If she is complaining about needing to buy some feminine hygeine products, offer to get them for her. Even if you do not end up going to get them, she will think you are the bomb.

Yesterday I was irritated because I had forgotten to pick up some. So, hubby said he would when he went out again. Poor guy was taking his mother to work because it was too cold for her to walk, so he asked if she would go in the store. Problem: he forgot to stop at the store.
On the way back, he remembered and went into the local CVS himself. Hood pulled tight over his head and staring at the floor, he went to the register with three boxes. They were on sale, so he thought he'd be nice and buy enough to last a few months. Thing is, the sale price didn't register so he had to take the clerk back through the store to the 'section' and show her the sign.
He said the clerk told him he was a wonderful husband, she hardly ever saw any men come in for those around here.
Well, I think he is, too.
Cavalier Phone Is A Rip Off.
Friends and Neighbors, I am angry. Boiling, over the top, MAD.
We switched to Cavalier Phone service a few months ago because Verizon was just too expensive. You call and get a quote of a certain price, but it rises to a totally different number. Though, I have to say, Verizon kept the service working properly 90 to 98% of the time.
Cavalier has been a nightmare from the start. They just expanded into our area, so we were one of the first customers to sign up. Sounded like a great deal, $40 a month for DSL and unlimited phone service. Awesome! Wonderful! Hooray!
Wrong.
The service was not turned on in 7 days as we were quoted. It was several weeks. Ok, well, we just kept the cell phone on a little longer. Then the DSL worked, but the phone didn't. Their DSL filters do not work, so we used the ones Verizon sent. Next problem, callers had a horrible echo on their end and could not understand us. On to the next, static. Then, the phone went out for good.
What? Come on. No dial tone, but people who called us said there was a ringing, then they had the voice mail. My email was full of 'Where are you people?' So, we get through to Cavalier via their stupid online chat service, which though it says LIVE person, is really a bot. No person repeats themselves to the T each time. Unless they are cutting and pasting, in which case, they need to be paid less.
But, wonder of all wonders, a tech made it out. Then the phone box on the pole needed to be fixed. During the repair power to the entire street was knocked out. No phone, no power. The electricity was back on in a few hours, but, gah.
That was a few days ago. The company said we would get a credit for all of the time and trouble. Today, the phone was D.I.S.C.O.N.N.E.C.T.E.D.
WHAT?
No, I am not kidding. After all of this mess and only having maybe two weeks of uninterrupted service, which STILL have a bad echo to where no one could understand us, our phone is cut off. I wrote the company and it seems we owe them 132.00 for a service we could not use. But they were nice enough *cough* to offer a $25 credit to drop the entire bill down to $132.00. The big hearted lugs. I mean, wow, what a steal! Installation must have took all of 15 minutes (if that, we have existing lines) and I use cable internet for the computer. Rob (hubby) installed the DSL router himself to the Xbox.
So, what am I paying for?
Obviously, nothing. At least, not for me. Someone at that company must need a new pair of shoes or something. Maybe they can get some from the 'No Shoe' shoe store.
Ijits.
