Husband signed up for it last night, kicked back to play Halo 3. Everything seemed great until we heard this guy talking to this girl. He asked her how old she was and she said 13! Then, she gave out where she lived! City and state!
This is bad. Kids giving out where they live on a platform where predators can hear them all over the world is...well, bad. Haven't they learned enough about that from chat programs?
So dumb. Xbox should ban people under 18. Parents who don't supervise their kids on this wonder why their children end up abducted, murdered, or molested.

Tea Avenue Blog!
Ok, it's official. My first post for Tea Avenue is up. I have to say that I really enjoyed doing the review. I checked out the prices and the sample that I tried is around 5.00 USD. The bag is very nice sized, I've become addicted to the Chai instantly, so I have made two entire POTS of tea and still have 3/4 of the sample bag left.
I'm glad I am working for this blog, it's tea I can finally afford instead of just wishing. Sorry if I sound 'pluggy', but it really is a good deal for the prices. I get the Bidgelow catalogue and their prices are higher than Tea Avenue's.
So anyway, this review is on Rooibos Chai, otherwise known as 'Red Tea'. Come visit my new blog and I'll keep you informed on the teas! Oh, plus I have been authorized to post my very own recipes using tea!

About The Coffee.
Someone asked me a while back if I really did have a big coffee maker. I took a picture of it, but I can't find the cord for my camera. Grr.
The coffee maker is actually a big 36 cup perculator I picked up at a thrift shop. We drink so much coffee that it was perfect and the cool part was that it was from either the 70's or 80's. The box had never been opened, the seal tape was all yellow, but the perculator was in perfect brand new condition. I love finds like that.
Just to let you know, coffee from a perculator tastes oh so much better. It can really sit there all day and never get that burnt taste like in popular makers out there today.
When the cord turns back up, expect more pictures. I plan to show you where I write from. I call it 'The Crypt'. My desk is a three tiered corner desk and I have black material draped from the cieling around it. There is a skull beside my right speaker, black roses in a wine bottle with wax down the sides, silver streamer things in front of the printer, and a pumpkin spice candle. Whoops, ThuggyBear (the husband) just gave me one of the Glade candles in French Vanilla.
Can you tell I like the macbre? I guess you could say I have a goth slant. While it is rare for me to dress the part, I loved the dark part of life ever since I was small. I started out writing horror before I ever got into freelancing.

Changes
Just a heads up, I am thinking of changing the look of this blog. I was never really a fan of green, but this template worked best at the time. I am looking for a simple one with clean lines, but with some decoration.

Wouldn't be nice if every comment that came through on a blog was from a real person who was interested in what you had written?
Over on Family Resource, I get hundreds of spam comments everyday. While when I first started there was around 30 to 50, now it's gotten crazy. I don't know if more spam is a sign of more exposure, sure wish that was so.
For all of you spammers out there, here is what I think of your comments:
'Nice' is not a comment.
'Sorry' is not a comment.
I didn't join your online pharmacy.
If you're 'having problems' it is probably due to all that porn you look at. You list the sites every time you visit.
I am a female. I think my penis is as large as it is going to get.
My husband satisfies me. I don't need any supplements.
Why do I need Propecia? I have enough hair for everyone.
What exactly is a 'stiff stick cure'.
Why can't you spell?
I mean, if all of these spammers talk the way they write, I'd love to record the conversation. It's mind numbing.

I'm A Tea Tester!
It's the dream of many bloggers who are starting out to try products out for free then review them. Someone was asking about that exact topic on Absolute Write, I recommended trying out BzzAgent to get a feel for it, plus get free products.
It was kind of funny that after I had replied to the post I landed as gig as a Tea Blogger/Taste Tester. Of course, I love tea, so this job is perfect for me. The posts are not sponsored in anyway and the only reimbursement I get is free tea samples to try and review.
Does that sound cruddy? I don't think so. I get the chance to give honest reviews of the tea I try without worrying about my integrity. I get free tea...which I mentioned, but how many times can I tell myself that I am an official taste tester without pinching myself? Trust me, I'm not bragging, because there are bloggers out there who make ten times what I make and get free stuff sent to them all the time. I'm just thrilled that I was chosen. It's one of the few times lately I have been told that I was 'the perfect candidate for the job'.
And if I like the teas, I have such a list of people I'm going to be sending some when I get more gigs to buy the ones I loved. Yeeks, there are some of you guys who I will need to get addresses from!

She's doing well and will be back online soon. Don't we miss her? Well, those of us who know her via AW and her blogs. Everyone should miss her, though. That's an order! :-)
I also started another blog, but need to get some posts in it. It's going to be an adventure through autism. My daughter is high functioning autistic, so I'm going to start with her birth and work my way up to this year. I'll be offering gluten/casein free cooking ideas/recipes, too. We (dad and i), plan to change her diet to the GFCF plan to see if it really does help combat autism.
GFCF is gluten free-casein free. Seems that those two proteins found in dairy and wheat attack the brains of children who are autistic, like opiates. There will be much more information on the blog once it is fully launched.
