Whew!

I have a new blog I'm working on now.

Ok, I have two. But on is a job and the other is a labor of love. My new blog job is the Family Resource blog in my favorites. Click on it and come love me!

My other blog is a novel in progress. I figure if I am sharing it with the world, I will make sure it's good the first time it goes up. I have made it interactive so people can comment on what they like and what they dislike. Eventually I'm going to publish it through LuLu with final edits.

I'm going to get adhesive nameplates to sign and send out to everyone who buys the book, too. I hope it does well, because there are some people I want to send free copies to. One of them helped me get a job and the other is quickly becoming someone who I consider on the same level as my closest friends. Some people I can just identify with and this person is so like me that it's scary. Both are just kickass people.

I bet you know who you are, too.

Tomorrow I am going to update on the FR blog. I also have an idea for the next novel post, though it's not going to be 'story'.

Oh, the novel blog is located here-Shattered Remains.

Graphics and A Personal Crisis

Ok. I have run into a serious problem. Due to this, I am offering my graphics services to anyone who reads my blogs and anyone they refer at ROCK BOTTOM prices. Compared to what? Well, when you read the prices I am quoting, keep in mind that my lowest price for a logo design alone is $150. I just seriously need to make some fast money and this is how I will work for it on top of my other jobs.

Price List:

Custom Signature banners and avitars for forums or livejournal: .50 cent

Business card design, website logo/banner, background: $1.00

Buttons/affiliate banners: .50 cent

Photo retouching/manipulation: 2.00-3.00 depending on intensity of work.

Book cover with a supplied picture(i can't draw at all)-$2.00

Total website package of graphics:$20.00

Old Photo coloring, rip/scratch repair: 2.00

I can do almost anything needed. Just ask and I will set you a very fair price. Have something you think no one has done before? Ask! I can do buttons like you wear, make odd pics, and put your or your kids in vacation spots you've never been to. I can remove or add people to photos. Recoloring is no problem and I can add makeup as well.

I accept ONLY PayPal.

If you see something listed above, click on the button below and in the notes give your info so I know what you want. As soon as I have the payment [and am online again, i do sleep guys!] I will email you to work out the details of the commisioned work.

Order as many as you want. Send as many people as you want, because I need to make as many as possible.

Argh

45 articles on drug detox. 3 days. Can I do it?

I better. Need some school clothes for the Amboo.

I need to get to work on the recipes, too. Anyone who has any ideas, let me know. So far this is what I hae, no pics yet.

1. Snowball ghosts.
White snowball confection thingies that come in the 2 packs. Raisin or chocolate chip eyes, maybe candy premade eyes and a chocolate chip mouth...maybe not

2. Kitty Litter Cake

Kids love gross. Crumble up a white cake, mix with green tapioca pudding until grainy. Dump into a new, clean cat litter pan. Stretch out tootsie rolls and half bury some, lay others on top. GROSS.

3. Bloody Yuck
Cherry kool aid, thickened with a pack of cherry gelatin. Drop chunks of cherry jello into the bowl or pitcher. Jello floating would be 'clots'

Halloween Kid Recipes

This should be fun. I am going to try to come up with some original ideas for kids, so the foods are going to mostly be pre-cooked stuff. I have a few ideas already and just realized I need to put them together and take pics to really make the article *pop*.

After I get going on it, I think I will post each one here, pictures that is. I'd love it if anyone reading would comment to let me know if the end result looks appealing.

Excited!

I heard back from Western New York Family magazine today and my article about my daughter and her special needs will be in the April 2008 Special Needs Child pull out. The pull out is like another magazing inside of the WNY Family. Amber will be the feature child! If I can get a great shot of her before it goes to print, she might even get on the cover!

I will also be writing a submission for the Halloween edition for this year. I really hope she likes it as much as this one.

I've been thinking about what tips I can put in this post for writers who are trying to break into print. I have two.

1. Don't ignore your local magazines or papers. Some have a large circulation and pay well. Plus, a clip is a clip.

2. Never quit. That is my mantra. Learn all you can, then never give up on sending out queries. You are better than you think and someone will notice that.

A Little Laugh

Just wanted to share a laugh. Have been really busy, but found some time for this when I saw the link from a new blog I am trying to get going.

And now, for your viewing pleasure, lolCatz.
